Petaling Street

Malaysia’s Chinatown situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur was a place where early settlers came in pursuit of wealth in the 1800’s. During the boom of the tin industry, more and more chinese migrated into the city mainly the Cantonese and Hakkas. Working in tin mines, they were usually governed by Chinese kapitans, with the most popular kapitan known as Yap Ah Loy.

Since then, Petaling Street has developed into Malaysia’s Chinatown and is now a renowned and popular tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur. It is now a popular place for trading and also destination for local favourites.

Their aim is to bring local favourites from hawker stalls, mamaks and restaurants from all over the streets of Malaysia to Australia and strive to keep and maintain the authenticity of their taste and quality for your enjoyment.
